The beginning of the 2019-2020 Pack 33 Scout Year is HERE & we are going to kick it off with the "Pack 33 Join Scouting Night 2019" followed by the normal Pack 33 Meeting. Summer went by very fast & we are officially starting the Pack 33 year! Woo Hoo! There is a lot of info here, but it's important info so please read. * Pack 33 now has a new lion den! So if you have a kinder age child, they can now join the pack! * Come in Class A uniforms (those that don't have a uniform, we will have a uniform bank there for you). * In scout fashion, please walk & enjoy a beautiful autumn evening if you are able to as parking is limited. * I realise that the Join Scouting Night & Pack Meeting is on the same night as Piney Branch Elementary's back to school night. We made the schedule with all the schedules in mind in June & the back to school night was planned a month ago. We will keep this mind for the future & apologise for the inconvenience. If you need to come take care of the pack meeting stuff & can only make the time during Join Scouting Night or vice versa, don't hesitate to stop by! We can't wait to see all of you! For Joining Scouting Night at 6 pm: 🌟New Scouts🌟 18 Sept 19 at 6 pm in the assembly room at 310 Tulip Ave, Takoma Park Md 20912 Who? New Scouts! New Scout families will greatly benefit by coming to the join scouting night so they can get more attention, ask questions, meet their leaders, etc. Current families are welcome to come but the Pack meeting will happen right after. What is great about this Join Scouting Night this year is that we are fully embracing our scouting family and community by having two amazing leaders (& friends of mine) are coming to represent their programs for the siblings! * Girl Scout Troops in the area, Service Unit 34-8 (Service Unit Manager, Shana Fulcher) * Pack 23 (Cubmaster Tim Miller) We need a few volunteers to help with running an activity (like paper airplanes or watch them on the playground) with the kids while we answer questions. For the Pack Meeting at 7 pm: 👨👩👧👦 ALL FAMILIES 👨👩👧👦 18 Sept 19 at 7 pm in the assembly room at 310 Tulip Ave, Takoma Park Md 20912 Who? Everyone! We will start off the meeting with a fun activity, handing out the (you can learn more here how to earn it), & then the scouts & sibs will go outside to burn off that late summer/back to school energy by playing while parents will get to mingle, & hang out while checking in their registrations (new scouts), health forms, and dues. I found out this week that we have the pack meeting while one of the elementary schools has their back to school night-- so if you can make any part of the meeting, even to drop off forms real quick, that would be great! BOTH NEW & RETURNING SCOUTS--- YOU NEED TO BRING: FILL THIS ONLINE PACK MEMBERSHIP FORM OUT (for all scouts) for the membership coordinator & treasurer -The form can be completed in about 5-15 minutes.
