At this pack meeting for Pack 33, we will be practising thankfulness in practicality & in community service. After the flag ceremony, advancements, (& yes, announcements) we have a fun activity planned. Good afternoon Pack 33 family! How many scouts does it take to make a Turkey Sandwich? Come find out at tomorrow's pack meeting- all details below (for the answer-- you have to come tomorrow to find out, ha). THANK YOU to EVERYONE, Scouts, Leaders, & families who came out to the Veteran's Day Ceremony yesterday to help make it a success. This includes but not limited to: all the scout leaders who came out- Dave Lanar, Eli Koppel, Matt Rhoads, Howie Schaffer, Sonja Kueppers, David McCabe, David Bartels, Brad De Gregorio, Max Finberg & anyone else who came out! Thanks to the scouts (cubs, girls, boys & scouts BSA) who helped to lead the opening ceremony & swapping of the flags- Boone, Avi, Erika, Chena, "Bob", Karl, Kyle, Mack, Haya, Via & Kai. And of course, to the 3 officers from the Police Dept & the Mayor! Pack 33 Meeting🦃 Info on Pack Website here When: Wednesday, November 13th, 2019 Time: 7-8pm Where: Assembly Room Wear? Your Class A Who? You! This is a pack wide (all dens, den chiefs, etc) event! (Den Chiefs, please arrive around 645pm to help set up) What? We have a FUN pack meeting planned! After the wolf den leads our flag ceremony, get our advancements done, any skits in, we will be doing a service project with a fun twist! Eli Koppel, Jay Keller & I have been working on a Thanksgiving service project -- instead of giving big ole turkeys that have to be cooked, we are going to be making turkey sandwiches to give to either Shepherd's Table or Martha's Table in the spirit of the season. Bring: Any leftover Scouting For Food Bags (to go to the Cubmaster) and winter clothing drive items (to go to Eli). Make sure to have your scouts' name on it for credit. After the pack meeting, you will need to drop it off directly to my house before the 18th to get credit, where I will take it directly to the food bank alongside my girl scouts' food drive. Want to Contribute? While we are getting the ingredients, if you would like to contribute a loaf of bread, some cheese, or turkey, please let us know what & how much- Just email Eli Koppel (elikoppel@gmail.com) Jay Keller (kellerjay@me.com) & I (cubmaster@takomaparkscouts.org). Remember: There is something the boys will earn for attendance at pack meetings! We can't wait to see you there! Optional FB Event for the meeting where you can post pictures, get updates, etc. Also, you can always see the Pack google calendar & a full written calendar on the Pack Website (three ways to have it added to your calendar). We can't wait to see you there & let's see how many turkey sandwiches we can make tomorrow. What's your guess? Yours in Scouting, |
