Check out who the Cubmasters of Pack 33 has been!

Hooray! Pack 33 is a Made the Gold Level on the Journey to Excellence!

Pack 33 has earned the Gold Level on the Journey to Excellence for this year. Among other goals, we earned this award because we:
  • Raised the number of adult leaders completing basic training and Youth Protection Training;
  • Retained a high percentage of Scouts from last year to this year;
  • Had a high Scout participation rate in outdoor activities
  • Had a high percentage of Scouts completing the achievements for their rank

We hope that all scouts and leaders will show their pride and wear the optional patch shown here (placed on right sleeve, 4 inches below shoulder seam)

Den Chiefs for 2012-2013:

We are looking for enthusiastic Scouts from Troop 33 who wish to assist in the coming year as Den Chiefs. Please contact Cubmaster directly if interested.

A Message about Cub Scouts and Weather Cancellations

The recent spate of bad weather and school closings reminds us of the responsibility we bear when we schedule Scouting-related activities and gatherings. In the interest of safety, and to be clear and consistent in our approach towards cancelling Scout activities due to weather conditions, Pack 33 has a simple policy: If the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) announce an afternoon/evening closure of school facilities, then all afternoon/evening activities related to Pack 33 and it's Dens will likewise be cancelled. The only exception to this policy will be if a Pack leader contacts families and informs them directly that a Den activity is going forward (For example, a Den sledding party at the middle school).
