Hey, Pack 33 Family! This year we won't be going physically camping together as we group due to COVID19 -- that's the bad news. This year campout is going to look a little bit differently, still be fun, there is no such thing as a raindate & cost you less gas money--- that's the good news! Thank you for bearing with us in this process. Also, surprise, The scouts will earn patches for participation in the virtual campout! Between now & the next few weeks, den leaders, den chiefs & I will all be making videos & doing facebook lives to teach scout skills, play scout games, & we will be even hosting a virtual campfire as well as potential a scout game or two virtually. I am thinking of even doing an akela social hour as well since we have all been working very hard during this time! And we are even figuring out how we may be able to try to do the Golden Spatula during this campout! Videos and or pictures will be uploaded to the event and or in the group & will link them here on this pack page as well so check back often. Also, the reason for it being longer in time is to allow everyone to be able to do it when they are able, so remember, it's do your best and MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE FUN!! We encourage you to do the same with what your scouts are doing for camping, a family skit, or scout (like) skills! We encourage You to post creative videos & pictures. So to take attendance, just camp in your backyard, under your table, in the living, (or in a boat surrounded by a moat with Dr Seuss, just kidding), or wherever you are able to in or around your place & take a picture or video of your at-home camp experience & share to the event or Facebook group and when you post, do the following: (scout's first name, their den # and level, the pack number, how many people did it, & what you guys did, along with the hashtags #allaboutscouts #pack33virtualspringcampout2020) Kai, Den 6 Bears, Pack 33. The 4 of us in our family camped in our living room! It was a blast & the picture below is us making smores on our stove! #allaboutscouts #pack33virtualspringcampout2020 When you do post that, we will be able to take attendance for the virtual campout. Remember, if you practised a certain set of skills that also meet requirements, it may be a good idea to tag your leader as well in the post or email them directly. Marcos Vaena & Paul Killibrew will be taking attendance by checking the hashtags, the event and the group. But if you for any reason need to email directly with questions or pictures/posts, please email the three of us together & one of us will get back to you!
